Josh Adcox
Founder & CEO
Dr. Joshua Adcox is a visionary leader and passionate orthodontist dedicated to transforming smiles and elevating patient care through innovative technology. With an extensive educational background, including a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California and a Certificate in Orthodontics from Vanderbilt University, Dr. Adcox combines his clinical expertise with a commitment to pushing boundaries in orthodontics.
As the Clinical Director of Remote Care at Smile Doctors, the largest Orthodontic Support Organization (OSO), Dr. Adcox is at the forefront of integrating remote care solutions, empowering orthodontists to deliver exceptional care with efficiency and effectiveness. His mission is clear: to inspire orthodontists to do More with Less but Better—leveraging technology to enhance both patient and team experiences while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Dr. Adcox is not only board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics but also actively involved in the orthodontic community, collaborating with fellow experts to refine treatment protocols and optimize practice management. His accolades, including recognition as a semi-finalist at the 2018 Invisalign Summit, reflect his dedication to continuous improvement and professional growth.
When he’s not advancing the field of orthodontics, Dr. Adcox cherishes time spent with his wife, Jamie, and their five children, enjoying outdoor activities like surfing, as well as his culinary passion for smoking delicious meals. With a firm belief in harnessing technology to enhance patient journeys, Dr. Adcox is leading the charge in a new era of orthodontics—one where remarkable smiles are achieved through personalized care and state-of-the-art technology
Averie Arnold
Chief Operations Officer
Averie Arnold's journey toward becoming a successful strategist began with her foundational education at Texas A&M University Central Texas, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Averie embarked on her professional path in the orthodontic industry in 2014, joining Smile Doctors. Over the years, she has held a variety of roles that showcase her versatility and commitment to excellence. These roles include National Training Coordinator, Cultural Ambassador, Strategy Manager and more.
Currently, Averie serves as the Senior Manager of Product Management at Smile Doctors. In this role, she leads the remote care division, overseeing a dedicated team responsible for the remote care services across the organization. Her expertise in data-driven decision-making, cross-functional partnerships, and effective communication has been instrumental in enhancing the company’s remote care capabilities.
Outside of her professional achievements, Averie is a devoted wife and mother of two. She values quality time with her family, and they share a passion for traveling and outdoor activities. Whether exploring new destinations or enjoying nature, Averie finds joy and balance through these experiences. As she balances her professional and personal life, Averie remains dedicated to making a positive impact both within her organization and in her community.
